Because writing, and of course, getting published, is both difficult and time consuming, I will propose some techniques that I have found useful. These are not a magic formula, but a way of approaching the craft of writing for publication. I will begin by explaining how I have found that the ‘purpose’ of an article is central. Purpose helps us structure the paper, yet also develops the contribution. I will talk about the role of theory and how best to use it. The format will be very open and I expect active participation and sharing of experiences.
